“Lost” The TV Series… It’s Never Too Late!

I have heard of the TV Series about 4-5 years ago from my husband. At that time my babies were still what you call in ‘growing pains’  all four of them so I was a busy wreck too. I sometimes could not remember if I have eaten dinner or I had taken a shower the day before. He wanted to watch it with me but I just could not. Now, I love my husband and all but I just could not find the time, or spare time to watch something that was named “LOST”…I was already almost lost, and I was in my own home!

About four weeks ago, thanks to NETFLIX, my husband popped the question. He is the one who introduces me to all kinds of TV shows that he finds interesting, one of which was “The Story of Heisenberg”…which that’s the alias we say in front of the kids for “Breaking Bad”. I started watching with him the first two seasons but I bailed out because of school and I promised to resume it again on my own time. “Mad Men” is one TV series that I finished with him till the end because I just had to! I fell in love with Don Draper! Another one is Frank Underwood “House of Cards”, I don’t love him, but I have a fascination with his character.

But, moving on; my husband popped the question at the right time. When are we going to watch “Lost”? I has been a long time, we don’t have to wait season after season in Netflix, all of them are there. All six years! Well, then…Hello Jack! Or maybe Howdy, Sawyer….or Hey, Dude!

Oh my, my precious time! I’m hooked! I love some characters and I hate some, not really hate…almost hate, well not really. I could tell anybody on and on about John Locke…or how I’m fascinated with Mr. Eko, or how I look forward in every episode what new nickname is Sawyer going to come up with. From Captain Falafel… to Mr. Clean! How Michael and Jin has that kind of relationship…How I hated Shannon and Jin at first….oh my, as I said I could talk about my favorite characters forever.

Ok. Time to check my Neurobiology…I have to finish a report on Jean-Dominique Bauby about his amazing book The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Till then….oh blog of mine! 🙂

The Reunion

An original song by my band- Clusters of Grey

The inspiration of this song came to me when I befriended a fellow musician through an online Music Group who collaborates, exchange ideas, give and obtain feedback about their songs…etc.
He and I became quite close and he told me about his personal experiences.
Now, that fellow is my husband and he’s my bandmate and we’ve been making music with 4 kids and the relationship is still growing with the help of some tasty Masalas (he’s Indian)! 🙂

Sims 3 Making it “Easy”

As I said before, my family are gamers. When Sims 3 for Console came out this week, since we already pre-ordered it, we got it out the day it was put available on the stand!
Now, I cannot let my kids play whatever games they want, I’m a gamer so they know they cannot fool me either! It’s one thing to buy your kids all these gadgets nowadays and let them play without your supervision, work takes your time, games take theirs…why not spend time together on something that they like doing and compromise that if you play their term, they will play your terms…that’s how we get them to keep their grades (2 of them are in gifted class, one is coming along and the youngest is 2 yrs old–maybe the youngest Ken Block fan ever…LOL), attitudes and habits, chores in check. I know parents does different styles and tactics when it comes to raising children, these ones work for us.

My eldest and I had been playing Sims 3 ps3, while the others like it on PC. I prefer not to cheat, but sometimes it’s too hard for the kids to do it, so I give them the cheat codes for money to make it easier for them, not too much or they’re not allowed to play anymore, how do I know, because I play too… The Sims game gives them a taste of what it’s like when they grow up, get a job, be out on their own…we had all The Sims Series (from1 to 3).

We had been looking for cheat codes and I guess I thought because it’s new it’s not anywhere online yet. We tried experimenting all kinds of stuff, pushing button combinations that would be likely to be used, no luck at all. We tried following the Sims 2/ps2 pattern combinations…didn’t do a thing, it only messes up the game…LOL! But finally, with determination we found it! It’s

L1 + L2 + R1 + R2.

When pushed simultaneously a popup will tell you that “SPOOT” (it’s a Llama) is now available for you to use and it’s in your Decor-Miscellaneous. You have to get him or buy him and put him somewhere around your house. Click him and get all the cheats that are available through him. It will disable some Challenges and Trophies too, but I’m not sure yet.

Anyways, good luck to all of your who plays, may it be on console or PC.

Just an addition, we are “Outside” players too…we play Kart racing, Tennis (my husband has some divisions wins) ans Soccer. We’re not couch potatoes…LOL!

I’d Rather Call Them Funny!

You know how we love to put our favorite quotes in our note books, cards, walls, or in our Facebook status…I for one does it a lot, but here are some quotes that you can use sometimes at your “leisure” – if you know what I mean…
